Premium Golf View Family Room - Grey Harlings

Positive: Larger room had very comfy large bed & very relaxing window area with comfy seats which was lovely to sit in & look out to the golf course. Great facilities with kettle, coffee maker & microwave. Very small fridges also in both rooms. Self service check in worked well & was easy to use (I haven’t used before so was pleasantly surprised). Plenty of parking, lovely garden, short walk to beach. Easy to contact staff & quick reply when needed. Would stay again. Negative: Adjoining door between rooms 1 & 2 was sealed so couldn’t be used which wasn’t as advertised & I wouldn’t have booked had I known. Smaller room with two single beds also didn’t have an ensuite - private bathroom across from room. Again wouldn’t have booked had this been clear. However in the end it worked out fine & would stay again.

This is a beautiful hotel in a peaceful location Positive: This is a beautiful hotel in a peaceful location, with spacious on-site parking. We stayed in a family room, which consisted of two large rooms and two bathrooms — very cozy, with an electric fireplace and armchairs by the window. The room had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, microwave, and a generous supply of tea and coffee. The hotel also offers large common areas with a pool table, piano, and comfortable sofas by the fireplace — it was absolutely delightful. My family was very happy with our stay and we would gladly come back! Negative: -

Hidden jewel Positive: Grey Harlings Rooms is huge place. We were not alone in the property but still looks like the whole property is all yours. The billiard was the best surprise for my family we spend all evening playing it. Rural views from the windows are combined with few minutes walk to town centre. Beds were charming, all family fall asleep in minutes and wake up absolutely happy. Negative: That we spend there only one night. Really not enough to appreciate this place.

Unique property, great location for a beach walk and a few restaurants nearby for eating. Positive: The children enjoyed the mystery of the self check-in, not using the red door, following the path to the courtyard and unlocking the secret key boxes! Negative: Family room 1&2 were provided for the mother and 2 children (12 yrs old) but the adjoining door was locked ( and the requested key not available for ‘security reasons’). This was additionally unfortunate as family room 2 does not have an en-suite bathroom. In addition the shower thermostat in family room 2 was only very HOT - we could not cool it. Luckily we had bedroom 1 on the GF also, so we used that. Although that shower door was off its runners so it was open a bit during the shower. Bedroom 1 bed is in need of replacement and is quite uncomfortable, and not so ‘ fresh’ ….

A great location but the hotel has become a bit tired. Positive: The room was large, with a good view.. Negative: The mattresses need replacing. We have stayed in the same room 3 times over the past 7 years and they’ve been sagging each time. We booked a family room, yet we could not get the adjoining door opened, even when we asked. Our room was not serviced with new milk, coffee, etc after the first night - we were staying 2 nights. There was only one key for the room and there was no one to ask for a second key.
